The mysterious source of your willpower
The same argument has existed between the scholars of the world and the scholars of the “chain of secret keepers” of the Hebrew nation for centuries:
What makes man unique?
On one side, the scholars of the world claim that man is unique because he is able to think, draw conclusions, predict the future – these are things that other animals (!) cannot do. Paired with man’s imagination, man is able to build himself wings and fly in the sky, and to dive in the depths of the sea too! There is nothing that he cannot do.
On the other side, the scholars of the Hebrew nation’s heritage explain that the advantage of the human mind is not everything. People may use it for evil. The element that makes man especially unique is his ability to choose whether to improve his ways or to use them in a way that is the antithesis of good and right…
Based on this idea, these Hebrew scholars further clarify the depth of man’s desire, which is expressed by his ability to define things through speech. It is interesting that this idea connects with postmodern thought, which claims that every person/nation has a narrative of their own, which is defined by telling over its story. However, there is one h-u-g-e, very significant difference between postmodern thought and the ideas of those “ancient prophets.”
The postmodern narrative is willing to accept any idea that any person raises, even if it directly harms those around it (see how important world leaders are willing to accept the presence of ISIS despite the countless murders the organization commits as part of its approach…). In contrast, members of the “chain of secret keepers” maintain a connection with the Creator of the world, the Giver of life, and this connection produces complete identification, completion of the desire for goodness, just like the Creator gave and continues to give life in His goodness and kindness all the time, to you and me too…
This is essentially the core idea of the course – to understand the depth of freedom of choice and explore how it is possible to go even further and utilize this desire, thereby connecting to the Source Himself.
Here, you will also ponder and learn how to:
- Utilize these insights to practice and strengthen your self-control.
- Learn the meaning of the process that you’re undergoing throughout your lifetime (the meaning of time).
- Recognize the deep meaning of our presence as human beings in the world.
- Plant the seeds of positive, empowering thinking in your mind.
- Lay the groundwork for optimism and success in everything you do.
In general, you will be able to give precise answers the following questions:
- What would you create?
- What would you become?
- What kind of people would you attract in your life?
The course is divided into seven parts and a final part that is an exercise derived from the learning, in order to apply the ideas in a practical way.
In the different parts of the course, we will learn how to connect opposites and make them complement one another, both in areas that are external to us and primarily, inside of ourselves. We will connect the fixed part of us, our body, the deterministic side that is not under our control, with a different part of us that can break through any obstacle and wants to express itself to the fullest. The more you learn how to increase your inner harmony, the farther you will go. In this course, you’ve reached the starting line.
This course can teach anyone who is interested in improving their self control and achieving more in life.
The truth is that it isn’t easy to take a step forward and assume responsibility of your life. Not everyone is willing to put in the effort; most people prefer to sit back in their armchair and continue to complain nonstop.
Even after making the decision to take the course, it’s not easy to make real changes. But at the same time, isn’t that the purpose of our lives? Each person here in the world is significant in God’s eyes, and this is your opportunity to stop “sitting on the fence.”
